Prior to joining the Skypoint team, Mr. Olsen led IBM's worldwide efforts in commercializing IBM research in solar technology. Mr. Olsen focused mainly in CIGS and CPV technologies. He was also one of eight members of the IBM Solar Council, which established and implemented IBM's solar strategy. He led IBM's establishment of a new business around IBM's energy saving technology in data centers. Mr. Olsen began his career at IBM as an attorney closing semiconductor and alliance deals with IBM partners and clients. He then moved to business development role where he was in charge of developing relationships and closing deals with major motion picture studios and the major game console companies such as Sony Pictures, Sony Online Entertainment, Pixar and Microsoft. Prior to joining IBM Mr. Olsen practiced law in New York and Vermont, was a Vermont state criminal prosecutor and general counsel for a nationwide restaurant franchise. Mr. Olsen is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Vermont Law School and The Wharton School of Business - Master Deal Maker Program.
